Attorneys, lawyers and law firms are like the iconic suburban household viewed from the street. Perhaps in West St. Louis County. Perhaps in the dynamically developing St. Charles County.
We see the home, the manicured lawn. The flower beds and a seasonal wreath or holidays greeting upon the door. We see the Volvo station wagon or the Mercedes G Wagon parked in the driveway and the well dressed children playing in the yard with their token Golden Retriever. Nothing could be more pristine and privileged.
Let's take a look inside - A case study.
After Anthony R. Friedman Missouri Bar # 65531 left the Simon Law Firm PC for "performance issues" as per the testimony of Timothy "Tim " Cronin, Mo. Bar # 63283 and fellow colleague Elizabeth S. Lenivy, Mo. Bar # 67885 it appears there were other behind the scenes discordant activities at the Simon Law Firm.
After the departure of Anthony R. Friedman two of his "colleagues" said directly to me with regard to Friedman while I was yet a plaintiff client of the Simon Law Firm P.C. -
Tim Cronin - "He lost seven out of eight cases he took to trial." This was captured in a telephone audio recording while I was in a conversation with Tim Cronin and Elizabeth C. McNulty discussing the status of the Case Pepper v. Gelfand. Case Number #19SL-CC04680
Elizabeth S. Lenivy - "He lost seven out of eight cases he took to trial and that is why he is no longer with the firm." This is a word verbatim quote of what Lenivy said directly to me during a trial prep. meeting.
Further insight into The Simon Law Firm P.C. -
Recently Simon Law Firm PC obtained a nuclear jury verdict in a medical malpractice, birth injury case for 48.1 million dollars: Anyan v Mercy Hospital . Case Number:
-
Approximately 8 months before the case went to trial a corporation was formed on 8/13/2024 named K.K. Changes LLC - Charter # LC014569724, Registered agent: Scott. D. Levine.
-
Approximately six weeks before the Anyan v Mercy case went to trial on 2/25/2025 the articles of incorporation for K.K. Changes LLC were amended naming Erica B. Slater, Mo. Bar # 63716 and Amy C. Gunn Mo. Bar # 45719 as registered agents.
-
On the same date of 2/1/2025 a fictious name was registered: Gunn Slater. Owner(s) K.K. Changes LLC. Charter Number # X001828861
-
You may infer what happened.
-
Amy Gunn and Erica Slater who were lead counsel in the Anyan v Mercy Hospital complainnt and Gunn Slater walked out the door of the Simon Law Firm PC with the case file under their arm.
-
A 48.1 million dollar case that Simon Law Firm PC financed the litigation thereof walked out the door of the Simon Law Firm PC and there was nothing absolutely nothing, that John G. Simon could do about it.
-
It was the heist of the century.
-
Congratulations John G. Simon "Super Lawyer", Tier 1 law firm, you let 48.1. million dollars and two of your best litigators walked out the door. Of course Simon did have in reserve his curated, public facing co-counsel Elizabeth S. Lenivy Mo. Bar # 67885 who he has been grooming to put a smile on it.(Wait until I give you my expose on her background. It's quite controversial.)
-
It's called Karma and all John G. Simon could do was have his internal p.r. department write a few damage control press releases and put a smiley face on it. The reality is, is that the legal community is talking about it and the take away is.....
-
They treated John G. Simon like a chump. The "Heels in the Court Room" crew walked out the door. They went Bye Bye on John G. Simons dime..!
-
I've just pulled back the curtain and it is quite amusing.
